As we age, our skin changes. This is due to a reduction in the production of a naturally hydrating substance called hyaluronic acid (HA). This results in wrinkles and folds, (similar to parenthesis) which are lines around the mouth.

Juvederm XC gel filler usually requires just a single treatment to provide smoother and natural-looking skin. The results may last up to one year after treatment. During the treatment, the patient does not face any serious discomfort because the gel is infused with lidocaine. As with any injection, bruising is possible.
